For me, creative documentation is about more than just taking pictures of a project. It’s a way of being present with the work, noticing the details that carry meaning for the artist. I want to capture what’s happening in the moment, but also the feeling behind it—the gestures, the atmosphere, the things that can’t be put into words. It’s about showing the process as much as the outcome, so the images reflect not just what the work looks like, but how it lives.

For the artists I photograph, creative documentation gives them a way to see their own work from the outside. It can reveal details they might not notice in the moment and preserve parts of the project that would otherwise fade with time. The images can help them share their work with new audiences, apply for opportunities, or simply remember what it felt like to be in that stage of creation. It’s a way of valuing the work at every step—not just when it’s finished.
